Follow-up Comment #29, bug #43505 (project octave):
Are there any Windows users or developers willing to do some testing of this
with gdb? I believe this may be the same as bug #47746 on GNU/Linux. Moving to
a 16-bit quantization introduces a potential for round-off error in the Octave
routines when working with 8-bit images. If you have an mxe-octave build of
the default branch with debug symbols not stripped and gdb available, I can
tell you what to look for.
