How would you define "important"?

To me it certainly looks important: Octave 4.0.2 is the current version of
Octave, and I have some scripts that look perfectly ok but randomly fail
(depending on apparently innocuous details, such as the exact position of a
"drawnow" statement).

Even if 4.2.x is released in a few months, there will be systems with 4.0.x
installed for several years to come...

So: yes, I believe it is important to backport to stable whichever change
solved the problem on default.
