Follow-up Comment #18, bug #47974 (project octave):

Gnuplot is correct.  Neither Matlab nor the OpenGL toolkits support an
axislocation of 'zero'.  Since we control the OpenGL renderer we should be
able to add support for this.  It has been on my list for several years, but
it isn't that important so I haven't done it.
