Thanks for the bug report. Is there a specific bug with Octave related to this
problem? It sounds like it's either a question you are trying to get help
with, or possibly a bug with the Fedora packaging of Octave. If so, both of
these are out of scope for this bug tracker. You might want to use one of the
support channels, such as the mailing list or IRC channel, see
http://www.octave.org/support.

I think many users and developers are able to use Octave and install packages
on Fedora, so marking as working. If you can find that there is something
specific not working that needs to be fixed in Octave, feel free to comment or
reopen this issue.
