Follow-up Comment #4, bug #48273 (project octave): This is a problem for me on the default branch. Increasing n also makes it worse. Try n=20. Also, it fails in the same way using qt and fltk. It would be useful to determine on which systems this is a problem and on which it always succeeds. My system is Fedora 23 Intel NUC5i5RYH.
