Follow-up Comment #23, bug #43099 (project octave): Anyway, I agree the critical thing is the command windows. +1 for having this on the 4.2 list. I just tried again on 4.0.3. What I see is different from the title (but also slightly different from Tatsuro: Editor: utf-8 looks fine (Chinese and some math chars tested) Command windows: broken (usual high ascii junk) Workspace pane: broken (but with different chars). In my original report, this worked. I think this on Windows 10.
