Follow-up Comment #1, bug #48429 (project octave):
Attached please find a patch that implements "gridcolor" and "minorgridcolor"
for the OpenGL toolkits.
I also hijacked this bug to implement "gridalpha" and "minorgridalpha". Unlike
general support for transparency in OpenGL, this is a one liner since the grid
should always be drawn first on an empty background.
