Follow-up Comment #2:

This sounds like a support request, not a bug report. We are aware that there
are some problems with some video cards using OpenGL, so there's nothing new
being reported here. This looks like one of these situations (you have a copy
of another window inside your Octave figure window).

If you need help getting plotting to work on your system, please use one of
the support channels (mailing list, IRC, see http://www.octave.org/support).
