Follow-up Comment #59, bug #48474 (project octave):

Building the libraries that already exist in the system is easy - for testing
purposes, just do:

make thepackagelib


Getting it to then be used by gnuplot is a different matter - currently
gnuplot is patched (see src/gnuplot-1-fixes.patch in mxe-octave) in order to
enable/display/set paths correctly. SO will have to be modified to get
working.

If you are lucky, it might be relatively easy, otherwise ....


For some of the packages, it may also pay to look see whether there are
updated versions available, as they _may_ be easier to compile than the
mxe-versions.
