Sorry for the long delay.  I applied the part about -framework here:

I'm not sure about the part for the link dependencies now since the build
system has changed.  If this is still needed, it will have to be modified to
set the variables in the configure script instead of in the
libgui/link-deps.mk file (it's been removed).
