Details:

Hello!

I have the following lines on my ~/.octaverc

cd("~/Workspace/Octave")
EDITOR("gedit")

EDITOR commands works fine, but cd does never work when executing octave
--no-gui from the command window (it starts in my home directory). When
starting octave with the GUI (from the launcher), it sometimes works, but not
always (something like 50-50).

I have octave 4.0.0-3ubuntu9.1 installed from ubuntu repositories, in 16.04.1
LTS x64, with Unity as desktop.

Does anyone know any fix, or if it is going to be fixed for this release?
