Follow-up Comment #1, bug #49036 (project octave):
I believe this has been seen on Ubuntu 14.04 also. I think it is a limitation
of older versions of either gcc or libm. I think it has been discussed before
and decided not to change anything, just document it as a known failure with
older runtimes. See bug #47775 and bug #48514. One of these bug numbers should
be added to the %!test block.
