Follow-up Comment #1, bug #49261 (project octave):
First of all 4.0.0 is an old release and the first recommendation would be to
get at least 4.0.3. (4.2.0 is to be released "any minute now".)
With that in mind, what happens if you do
print("t1.eps")
instead?
Do you get a correct postscript file?
