Follow-up Comment #15, bug #44624 (project octave):

Eric, I am unsure about your changes.  You are patching the released tarball
but there's been some changes on the development sources.

I have written a Makefile for that package that should help you with that. 
Can you please try this and see if it works:


hg clone http://hg.code.sf.net/p/octave/dicom
cd dicom
make dist


That will create a new release from development sources inside the target
directory. Can you give that a go and check if there's still an issue before
we re-open it?
