Follow-up Comment #10, bug #49053 (project octave):

This quick fix for the problem may be as simple as setting the viewport
correctly based on the Retina size in pixels.

I really need to figure out how to get homebrew to build from a local code
location. I can't ever seem to get the patches and configure parameters right
if I try to do it manually.
