Details:

In matlab the buttord filter can compute the order of analog filters too.

For example the function can be called with the 's' parameter:

buttord(2*pi*8000,2*pi*12000,1,20,'s')

the frequencies are not normalized with the 's' parameter.

This functionality is not implemented in the buttord function from the signal
package.
