Follow-up Comment #8, bug #49503 (project octave): I can always install a copy of the current Octave before beginning to build the binary distribution for Windows, but why not just have a "build-octave" package that builds it for us and installs it in the mxe "usr" directory tree, same as the other build tools? Then we can ensure that we have the proper version available. If you agree, I can add the package.
