Follow-up Comment #8:

I'm running 5.4.2.  I'm willing to say this is a Qt bug.  The report I
mentioned says that they were having trouble with both 5.4.1 and 5.4.2 which
coincides with my experience.  I'm going to mark this as invalid and close.
