Follow-up Comment #1, bug #49804 (project octave):
There are two parts two resolving this. Part one is quite difficult and
involves making a new C++ graphics object which conforms to Matlab's
polaraxes. Part two will be writing an m-file, polarplot.m, which uses the
C++ polaraxes object.
