Follow-up Comment #29, bug #49609 (project octave):

If they relate to the same source, the CTRL-C problem seems to exist both in
Windows and different flavours of Linux. And because it is in 4.0.0 already it
is not new in the code. But why didn't it occur a long time ago?

Perhaps a race condition induced by the Ctrl-C handler and improved system
libs or kernels make it more probable?
