Follow-up Comment #3, bug #43702 (project octave):

I have tested this with Octave 4.2.0. The issue is still the same. (And this
is NOT resticted to Mac OS as the current tag suggests.)

I still do get the same results as in comment #0. The two versions of the plot
do look very different.

The calls to interpn look like proper Matlab syntax to me (I haven't tested in
Matlab, though). Octave might give wrong results when calculating with this
input syntax (matrices as iX1,iX2,...).
