Thanks for testing Ederag, I'll push the linejoin patch ASAP.

Yes please open a separate bug report. Using setLineCap is not necessarily the
best solution (this only works for printout) and single lines could eventually
be replaced by line strips which would improve both onscreen and printout
figures.
