[Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #44471] uicontrol('string', 'foo') may be slow with many fonts installed

Follow-up Comment #6, bug #44471 (project octave):

I think this is still present in the mxe-octave build of Octave 4.2.0.

The very first plot command takes quite a long time (afterwards it's fine).
This might be due to fontconfig generating its font cache when first used.
This cache generation might be shifted into the installation process of
mxe-octave.
