Follow-up Comment #15, bug #49927 (project octave):
The OP seems to have 64bit Octave on 64bit Windows w 4 GB RAM. IMO it is
remarkable to not have 600 MB contiguous free RAM on such a system.
So there may be other issues going on leading to the OOM errors.
