Follow-up Comment #6, bug #49779 (project octave):

I believe that 90% of the crashes will be because of a wrong 
directory, so I still think that my trivial patch from comment#3 should be
applied, and another exception mechanism that will treat 
other expected and unexpected situations should be added later.
