Follow-up Comment #3, bug #50102 (project octave):

Just downloaded and tested your file A.txt with Octave 4.2.0 in a Windows XP
virtual machine and it passed fine.

So it does seem to be a cygwin-specific, home-built issue.  I've uploaded
A2.txt which is simply A.txt with the line ending changed from Windows to
Unix.  Does this work for you?


dlmread ('A2.txt')


Also, if Octave is having trouble finding the delimiter, does this work


dlmread ('A.txt', ';')
