Follow-up Comment #5, bug #50171 (project octave):
The bug is almost fixed. But I seem to have found a corner case that fails.
If I start Octave with
./run-octave -f
And then as the first action do File->New Function, type in a name such as
"xyz", then no script is created.
On the other hand, if I start Octave, switch the window tab from "Command
Window" to "Editor", switch the window tab back to "Command Window", then
proceed with File->New Function it works.
