Follow-up Comment #6, bug #50359 (project octave):

Right, the summary sentence tries to capture that

> Return true if X is a special null matrix, string, or single quoted string.

Some text could be added to clarify that a special null type is null only when
used as a literal. Once it is assigned to a variable it loses its null
property.
