I pushed a temporary fix for gnuplot here
(http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/589e4e4548e1).  When Dan cleans
things up he should remove this cset.

jwe: Are you really using gnuplot as your default toolkit to build the
documentation?  I use qt and osmesa and have for a long time.
