Follow-up Comment #7, bug #50479 (project octave):

Dmitri,

Correct, but many scripts are set to use "visible off"
since there was an extended period when only this worked.
This is why the build uses "visible off". And, there must
have been a time when osomega was needed with visible off,
but there also was a time when this was not true.

Still a bug worth fixing. But, it appears to be an osomega
problem. Someone with more knowledge of osomega is needed
to find where/how it can be fixed.
