Follow-up Comment #34, bug #50479 (project octave):
The library that is known as libGLX_mesa on Fedora is just libGL on Debian and
Ubuntu distros, which is probably why this workaround isn't needed. Fedora
decided to build mesa with support for the new glvnd dispatch library. Someone
will have to figure out what this means for Octave's on-screen GL and
off-screen OSMesa support.
