Follow-up Comment #1, bug #51148 (project octave):

I tried you test and also got the same error.
The problem is in residue.m
Residue thinks that the numbers are too big or small and discards some.
when I re-scaled your numbers I got a better answer.

I don't have time now but will look at it more latter.
