Follow-up Comment #1:
Was there sample code? It didn't show up in the bug report. Also, note that
version 4.0.3 of Octave is deprecated. You might try the latest stable
version which is 4.2.1. Finally, legend positioning is done by gnuplot, not
Octave. That's one of the reasons the built-in OpenGL graphics toolkits are
preferred because Octave has more control over how the output appears.
