A lot has changed since this bug was filed in 2011. I updated the
documentation and the example code for using the pdflatexstandalone printing
flow. See cset http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/a08e277f985f.
I see that this bug is filed against "Plotting with gnuplot". The gnuplot
toolkit doesn't currently support "latex" as an interpreter. I suppose that
could be a new bug report, but I think this report can be closed.
