Follow-up Comment #2, bug #52153 (project octave):
That is correct:
- I experienced the severe desktop crash (gui) and the mild crash (terminal)
in Octave 4.2
- Then I started using Octave only in terminal, to avoid the big pain.
- I updated recently from Octave 4.2 to Octave 4.2.1
- In Octave 4.2.1 the mild crash still occurs (original backtrace that I
pasted below).
- However, I didn't check the severe desktop crash in Octave 4.2.1 until you
mentioned that it was fixed, which I confirm!
