Follow-up Comment #3, bug #52211 (project octave):
Thank you for the quick fix!
In Octave windows GUI the editor encoding is typically set to SYSTEM, what
should be UTF8. Unfortunately the Command window encoding is not configurable,
at least not from gui. I will post a separate item on that.
