Follow-up Comment #32, bug #39000 (project octave):

On current dev it crashes so fast that I do not even see any error messages or
Windows pop-ups. (Remarkable as I know that behavior (= application window
simply disappearing w/o a trace) only from Linux, Windows usually catches
misbehaved programs and complains.)  CLI or GUI makes no difference.
