Details:

Hello,

I tried to install the communications v1.2.1 and it failed during the 'make'
portion.

I have attached the output of:
control v3.0.0
signal v1.3.2
communications 1.2.1

There are some warnings of deprecated styles for the first 2 packages, but
they did install.

>From the error it states base-lu.h is missing. Is this part of another
package? 

In my directory:
ls base-*

Gives:
base-dae.h  base-de.h  base-list.h  base-min.h  base-text-renderer.h
