Hi,

It seems Markus has an almost finished solution so this
comment should be now out of date, but I had been thinking 
of an alternative solution and, even though it will not be used,
 I still wonder whether that would have been feasible.

I was thinking we could ship with Octave sources a shared lib
containing xGGSVD3 from the reference LAPACK implementation and
tweak the build system so that it is overridden by the implementation in the
linked lapack lib if there is one provided at build time or via LD_PRELOAD.

Would that be possible somehow?
