Follow-up Comment #23:
I changed some tolerances to as much as 5 eps and now the acos BIST tests
pass. There are real problems with the hyperbolic inverse functions. They
are provide by whatever math library Apple is using, but they are pretty
innacurate when compared to gcc's libm or to Mathematica's variable precision.
Since this is a known issue, and not really Octave's problem, I marked the
failing tests as xtests only for the Mac platform
