Follow-up Comment #10, bug #52933 (project octave):

Sorry, I have only now understood, that with your "quick fix" from comment #8
there is full Matlab compatibility with the currently mentioned test images.
This also means that my suggested test from comment #9 does not make any
sense. The currently used 3 coefficients seem to be fine, already.

Maybe the problem is somewhere else, maybe with the calculation of the three
count numbers "even", "odd" and "corners"?

@Avinoam: To further investigate this: Could you please supply one of the
"more elaborate" test images, where you observed the remaining Matlab
incompatibility as mentioned in comment #8 ?
