Follow-up Comment #4, bug #53046 (project octave):

Yeah, thanks.  I'm ready for a first draft, but I'm stuck on a crash problem
in which the first time cntrl-C/V are used crashes (but copy/paste buttons
work).  Had to freshen the patch yesterday from the recent variable editor
changes.  If I can get past that crash bug (has to do with having the window's
"setWidget()" main widget just so), I'll post something.  Or, we could live
with it, say on another branch (but that would probably mean a lengthy merge
of branches).

I'm attaching a screen shot of what this looks like.  At first it may not look
like a QMainWindow because there is no "center widget", but compare it to the
main window and one can see the tabified areas, the common dock/undock and
close buttons in the upper right corners of dock widgets, and the hide/unhide
context menu.
