Follow-up Comment #34, bug #45458 (project octave):
I have observed that renaming C:\Octave\bin\fc-cache.exe to
fc-cache-renamed.exe etc.
suppresses the slowing. I want to know if this can be a workaround for this
problem.
Does anyone know any side effects of disabling fc-cache.exe?
