Update of bug #53217 (project octave): Status: Need Info => In Progress _______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comment #17: The use of a pager is generally tied with using a CLI. In the past, when a CLI was the only interface available, it made sense for the pager to be on by default. It was awkward if you had a lot of data to watch it fly by on the terminal with no means of slowing and reviewing it. With a GUI, the interactive design principles recommend against using a pager. The data that comes out is always available for review by using the scrollbars in the Command Window.
