Follow-up Comment #31, bug #53186 (project octave):

I overhauled configure.ac in this cset
(http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/8a92f442c4a2).  As part of that
effort I disabled OSMesa by default, but it can be used by passing the
'--with-osmesa' argument to configure.
