Follow-up Comment #3, bug #53245 (project octave):
But is it intended that you have chosen a color for the default style (first
entry in the style panel in "editor styles"), which is nearly unreadable?
IMHO, the default style has almost no effect except for indention guides,
visible white spaces and the cursor.
