I do not see any warnings (with multiple failures).

if you do some reasonably heavy I/O at the same time as you run the test. The
CPU load does not seem to matter that much. 
Essentially if I run the test from #41 and at the same time do "make -j8" or
"make check" I get more failures (I managed to get 20 max). Doing the same
test on mearly idle machine gives only one or 2 (or none). That may explain
why buildbots have those failures regularly.
