URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?53361> Summary: Lack of Octave - Matlab compatibility for 7.3 format mat files Project: GNU Octave Submitted by: kupiqu Submitted on: Fri 16 Mar 2018 05:13:52 PM UTC Category: Libraries Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Matlab Compatibility Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: 4.2.1 Operating System: Any _______________________________________________________ Details: There is no compatibility between Matlab and Octave with respect to mat files in 7.3 format. This means that there is no way by which variables > 2GB can be shared between Matlab and Octave users. A way to fix this lack of compatibility would be porting (or supporting) the MATLAB MAT File I/O Library: https://github.com/tbeu/matio _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?53361> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
