Follow-up Comment #3, bug #53390 (project octave):

It's probably nothing.  I wrote a small C++ program to check the sizes of
long, and unsigned long and they are both 8 bytes on my machine.  If there was
something like a SuiteSparse_int and it had a different value then 4 bytes
then that would be a problem.
