Details:

First of all, I would like to point out that I do not encounter this bug when
drag-resizing windows, but only when:
 * Snap-resizing it to one of the sides of my screen
 * using the maximize/restore buttons
 * double clicking the title bar

My desktop environment is KDE (on Arch Linux 32 at the moment), though I seem
to recall this happening in Unity and other DEs as well.

This has ben bugging me for quite some time, as this bug has been present on
every computer that I recall using with Octave with, for the past four years
or so, though this doesn't seem to be systematic.

When resizing a plot window trough one of the above actions, the plot inside
it occasionally doesn't update, and leaves the windows with its new size, and
correctly drawn, except for the contents of the plot, which keep the old
size.

As a workaround, the drag button can be selected, and the graph clicked once,
which seems to trigger a redraw. Losing the focus also seems to trigger a
redraw, and so does taking a screenshot, so this could be compositor-related
(kwin here, but definitely happen(ed?) with others), but makes it difficult to
take screenshots.

I don't know if this is related or not, but when selecting save as , and
saving as png with the window maximized, Octave generated a similar image,
with a small graph in one of the corners of the resulting image.

I was able to reproduce this with qt, but not fltk (though I thing it used to
happen with fltk as well in the past).
